LEARN TO READ OR GET OFF OF EBAY
I don't know why exactly, but today, I'm way less tolerant at my job than I normally am. I answer customer emails in the morning, and I understand that some people out there are as internet savvy as others, but today, it just seems like people out there (ebayers) are just plain moronic.
For example, someone asks:"The camera is supposed to come with a cap to cover the lense opening. Do you have it?
How do you keep dust out if you don't?"
My response had to be:As stated in the description, and as is visible in the photos on eBay, this camera does come with a body cap.
This happens ALL THE TIME. READ THE GODDAMN DESCRIPTION PEOPLE! That's why we take the time to WRITE the goddamn descriptions! YOU CAN READ, RIGHT?!?!
Here are some more...
Their Question: Hi is this a new strap?
My Answer: As stated in the description on eBay, this is a new strap.
Their Question: OK, one more quick question. Is this a Store demo camera, or one someone has owned for some time.
My Answer: This is a used camera, as is stated in the eBay auction title and description.
Their Question: Hi I just wanted to double check with you about a few things with regards to this item... 1. Is this item brand new? 2. What is your warranty policy on merchandise?
My Answer: As stated in the description on eBay, this is a new flash. Also, as stated in the description on eBay, the flash is covered by a one-year warranty from the manufacturer, which is Canon Canada.
Their Question: I hate bidding games. How much to buy this lens?
My Answer: Sorry- there's no Buy it Now option on this auction. (But in my head I'm thinking- this is EBAY! Which is an AUCTION site. Auctions are won by BIDDING on the item being AUCTIONED OFF).
Their Question: I'm really apologize! Could you please cancel my bid for this Item because I didn't relize that it is a used len.
My Answer: How could you not realize this was a used lens? It states so in the title, and again in the description. Please let me know how you failed to realize this was a used lens.
Yeah- so I lost it a bit on that last one. But I am genuinely curious as to how he could've missed the fact that this is a used lens. Meh.
Rant over. Day still has six and a half hours. FACK!

The Day That Nothing Worked (except the printer)
So, I just got home from walking all the way from Spadina. Stupid streetcar I was on kicked everyone off, so it could push the broken down streetcar in front of it off the road. Man. What the hell is wrong with the TTC today?
And at work, our inventory program SUCKED ASS. I only got three listings done, where normally, I should be getting about 14-15! But I did get a "lemon" printer up and running this afternoon, which I might be able to buy for cheap! Woot!

Hook, Line and Sinker
If anyone out there is wondering why I haven't posted in a while... it's because I'm thoroughly addicted to the RPG game Neverwinter Nights. The original, not Neverwinter Nights 2 (I'm not about to spend that much money on a game, however, I can see why people would). The game is, needless to say, quite good. It's like being in a movie. A really long, involved movie.

My character's name is Krystle Waters, and she's an 11th level sorcerer. She's awesome, of course. She has a psuedodragon familiar, who's name is Malkovich. She's hired a henchman named Tomi Undergallows, who's good for picking locks and disabling traps. And she usually travels with a dire bear that she's summoned to help with her fighting.
So, because I like being engulfed in fantasy, I'm completely hooked.

Too Many Options...

At home, I use
Mozilla Firefox for my web browser. They've recently released the second version, and it's full of awesome features I can use, like spell check, integrated FTP transfers, etc. Along with the classic Firefox functions, like tabbed browsing, these upgrades make Firefox an easy and quick browser for the avid internet surfer.
I just started using Firefox at work too, since I like to spell check
my listings, and I can have more than one website open and not have it look like I'm spreading my attention thin to anyone looking over my shoulder (indicated by the number of open windows seen in the Windows task bar).

However, Microsoft has now released
Internet Explorer 7, which is a completely redesigned web browser from the Explorers we've known in the past. It's got the tabbed browser feature, plus it's got this really soft, overall look to it (rounded corners, nice graphic font on webpages, etc... almost "Mac-like"). It doesn't have an integrated spell check, but the Google toolbar I have installed will check any web forms I've got open with a click of a button. I'm not sure about the FTP function, but I imagine there's an add on somewhere for one.
So now I don't know which browser to stick with. My heart says Firefox, simply because it's the underdog (for now, anyways), and is the antithesis of a "big box" browser (to me, Microsoft is like the Walmart of the internet). But the look of the new Explorer 7 is really nice! I'm torn... does anyone have any opinions??

First Post from the New Laptop!!
The computer arrived at work today! I couldn't believe it came so early! (It just took me like, 45 seconds to write that sentence; it's gonna take a while to get used to this keyboard.)
Now I just have to get this wireless network thingy up and running. It's more confusing than I thought it would be, and the fact that the new wireless modem didn't come with any instructions doesn't help. I spent way too much time on the phone with Bell tech support, and that was just to get the internet connection working on my laptop. Meh. James will come to the rescue tomorrow.
Back to my sweet new laptop... it's pretty nice. The screen is nice and big, it's super quick, it keeps your lap nice and warm, and it's new! YAY for new things!
