Today Is A Sinead Kind Of Day
George did an
interview with Sinéad this last week, and it was great to see her. She is such an inspiring woman, and a phenomenal musician. I always forget how good she is. All-time favourite song is
Black Boys On Mopeds, from
I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got. Best line:
"These are dangerous days,
To say what you feel is to lay your own grave."
Everything she does is awesome, but that album... man. It's so good. I just sat singing along with the whole thing, doing nothing else. It was awesome.
Cuz Is In The House
My cousin Allison's been staying at my house for the past few days, gearing up for her show tonight at the Cameron House. Check out the interview I did with for blogTO:

eBay Anti-Cookie Swap!
Every year (and sometimes twice a year), my fellow employees and I get together and swap some goodies. We had a "Christmas in July" swap this past summer, so we switched things up a bit and went for anti-cookies only. We also decided to push it back into January, since we were all so busy prior to the holiday. Plus, sweets in January just makes sense.
I made holiday rice crispy treats. Holiday, because I was able to buy some red and green "jimmies" (sprinkles) for 75% off at Chapters (I always feel a bit weird buying edibles from a bookstore, but they're just compacted sugar, so I figured it'd be safe enough). I'd never made rice crispy squares before, and I was not prepared for the HUGE MESS it made of my kitchen, but they turned out well! Here are some pics for you to drool over...
You can see more photos and descriptions of what each goody is on my Flickr here:

Cross Post Mania: Toronto Condo First To Convert To Interior LED Lights
In an effort to maximize my online presence, I'm going to start cross posting my blogTO articles onto here. Just in case you don't know about blogTO!
Today, I wrote about how the Palace Pier Condo on Lakeshore West is the first large scale residential building to convert their interior lights to energy-efficient MR16 LED lamps. "A step in the right direction, that I hope will set a precedent for Toronto condos."

RESET
This is me, reseting my blog. It's been too long, and I think I want to starting posting on here again, but I felt like something had to happen.
So, I'm hitting the reset button.
